Our Sweetheart Cabbage (also known as Hispi Cabbage) is a beautifully pointed green with mild, sweet flavour and soft, quick-cooking leaves. Unlike traditional cabbage, it doesn’t need long cooking — just a light sauté, steam, or roast brings out its natural sweetness. It’s a favourite for easy side dishes, stir-fries, salads, and grilled veg plates. Tender leaves. Delicate flavour. A true sweetheart in the kitchen.

🥬🧄🍋 Sautéed Sweetheart Cabbage with Garlic & Lemon

Quick, light, and packed with fresh flavour — ready in under 10 minutes!

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 2–3):

  • 1 sweetheart cabbage, thinly sliced 🥬

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter 🧈

  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced or minced 🧄

  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon 🍋

  • Salt & pepper to taste 🧂

  • Optional: chilli flakes or toasted seeds for topping 🌶️🌰

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Heat oil or butter in a large pan over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add sliced cabbage and a pinch of salt.

  4. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until tender but still vibrant.

  5. Finish with a squeeze of lemon and black pepper.

  6. Serve warm as a side to any dish — or enjoy as a light veggie main!
