Honey Poached Conference Pears
Simple, elegant, and full of natural sweetness.
Ingredients (Serves 2–4):

2–4 Conference pears, peeled, halved, and cored

2 cups water

2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)

1 cinnamon stick

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Optional: a few cloves or star anise
Instructions:

In a saucepan, bring water, honey, lemon juice, and spices to a simmer.

Add pear halves and simmer gently for 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender.

Remove pears and reduce the poaching liquid until lightly syrupy.

Serve pears warm or chilled with a drizzle of the syrup. Optional: add whipped cream, yogurt, or ice cream
