    ๐Ÿฅฌ Creamy Cavolo Nero & Garlic Pasta

    Simple โ€ข Comforting โ€ข Full of Flavour

    ๐Ÿ›’ Ingredients

    • ๐Ÿฅฌ 1 bunch Cavolo Nero (stems removed, chopped)

    • ๐Ÿ 250g pasta (penne or spaghetti works well)

    • ๐Ÿง„ 2โ€“3 garlic cloves, minced

    • ๐Ÿซ’ 2 tbsp olive oil

    • ๐Ÿง€ 50g grated Parmesan (optional)

    • ๐Ÿฅ› 100ml cream (optional for a creamy version)

    • ๐Ÿ‹ Squeeze of lemon juice

    • ๐Ÿง‚ Salt & black pepper to taste

    • ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Pinch of chilli flakes (optional)

    ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ Method

    1๏ธโƒฃ Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook pasta according to packet instructions.

    2๏ธโƒฃ While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

    3๏ธโƒฃ Add garlic (and chilli flakes if using) and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    4๏ธโƒฃ Add chopped Cavolo Nero and sautรฉ for 4โ€“5 minutes until tender.

    5๏ธโƒฃ Drain pasta (reserve a splash of pasta water) and add to the pan.

    6๏ธโƒฃ Stir through cream (if using), a little pasta water, lemon juice and Parmesan.

    7๏ธโƒฃ Season with salt and pepper, toss well and serve immediately.
