  2. Pay particular attention around the base of the stems.
  3. Trim away the very bottom if necessary.
  4. Separate the thicker stems from the leafy sections.
  5. Slice the stems into small pieces.

  7. Begin cooking the stems first.
  8. Add the leaves towards the end of cooking.
