✂️ How to Prepare Your Basil:
-
Rinse gently under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
-
Pat dry carefully with a paper towel or clean kitchen cloth (it bruises easily).
-
Remove the leaves from the stems — most recipes use only the leaves.
-
Use whole or chop finely depending on your dish:
-
Whole leaves: Great for garnishing salads, pastas, or pizzas.
-
Chopped: Perfect for mixing into sauces, soups, or pesto.
-
⚠️ Pro tip:
-
Add basil at the end of cooking to preserve its delicate flavour and aroma — heat can dull it quickly.
